Melania is not overly impressed that Mishayla has chosen to get her "Leapster observation hours" in by watching her play. Mishayla will have her very own Leapster later this month, and I'm sure the girls will miss this close bonding time.

I was leaving the house after lunch to return to work when I encountered this black bear about
30 feet away... I did a double take, and went for my camera. Then, I decided rather than take pictures, I really should rescue the neighbor's dog. It was young black bear. I never heard if he was captured and relocated or not. No more bear sightings in my front yard!

And, here she is, my "big" girl, all ready for school! It's hard for me to believe that this is really happening. The last 4 3/4 years have gone by so quickly. Melania is so excited and so ready for school. She'll be 5 years old in December. The preschool is taught by a newly retired 1st grade teacher who seems to do a great job with the kids. They have quite the curriculum 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours. It's just the right amount to prepare mommy for all-day kindergarten next year...

Father's Day - Uncle Hugh with his kids. Honestly, Father's Day is just a strange holiday for my girls! We make the best of it.
Picture from the "old" farm with the "new" place in the distance. I took a trip to northern MT (Rudyard) for it's 100 year celebration. My family moved from the "new" place in 1986. My dad's parents lived here most of their lives. I remembered these roses, and wanted to "visit them. Nex time, I would like to transplant some at my home.
